The Prison Rape Elimination Act

The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) is a federal law that prohibits and seeks to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual misconduct in correctional institutions and community corrections settings. Wellpath is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for Employees, Volunteers, or Contractors and Residents at our facilities.

Wellpath Recovery Solutions’ ZERO TOLERANCE Policy

Wellpath has zero tolerance relating to nonconsensual acts, offender on offender sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, and staff sexual harassment in accordance with the standards set forth in the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA). It is the policy of Wellpath to have zero tolerance towards any form of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment in all its facilities. And our company prohibits sexual conduct between Employees, Volunteers, or Contractors with any resident in a Wellpath Recovery Solutions facility regardless of consensual status. Such behavior is subject to administrative as well as criminal and disciplinary sanctions.

How To Report Sexual Abuse at a Wellpath Recovery Solutions Facility

Residents are encouraged to report all allegations of sexual abuse and/or sexual misconduct immediately. Residents are afforded several different avenues of reporting. Reports can be made over the phone, in person, in writing or anonymously if desired. The Corporate PREA Coordinator may also be contacted.

If you have any information regarding a resident who has been sexually abused at a Wellpath Recovery Solutions Facility, please call the Facility Administrator of the Facility where the incident occurred. Locations and contact information for each site are listed on the Wellpath Recovery Solutions Facility webpage. You may give your name or remain anonymous. Please have as many details as possible to include:

  • Name of the resident
  • Name(s) of person(s) involved
  • Name(s) of any witnesses
  • Description of the incident
  • Date and time of the incident
  • Location of where the incident occurred
  • Any additional relevant information
  • Your name and contact information (optional)

All allegations of sexual abuse, sexual threats and retaliation concerning an incident of sexual abuse at any of our facilities will be thoroughly investigated and shall be subject to administrative and/or criminal prosecution.

Employee Reporting Options

Wellpath Recovery Solutions employees reporting Sexual Abuse or Sexual Harassment may report such information to the Chief of Security or Facility Leadership privately if requested. They may also report Sexual Abuse or Sexual Harassment directly to the Employee Hotline, which is an independent, professional service, available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week on the Internet at https://reportlineweb.com/wrs or at the toll free telephone number (855) 355-6478. Employees may also contact the Corporate PREA Director directly.
