Wellpath Community Care Centers Joined by Local Leaders to Open Clinic in Roseville

Roseville, CA Earlier this month, Wellpath held a ribbon cutting and virtual grand opening event for their first Community Care Center in Roseville, devoted to treating opioid use disorder. Area leaders and healthcare providers joined to celebrate this new treatment option in the battle against the opioid epidemic.

“We are excited to bring our expertise to the Roseville area and expand local options for medication-assisted treatment of opioid use disorders,” said Dr. Neil Schamban, President. “Wellpath is devoted to combatting the opioid crisis, providing the highest level of care for our patients, and helping heal the communities that are impacted by this epidemic.”

“In my over 22 years as Sheriff, I’ve seen the impact opioid addiction has had on our families and our communities. We need more treatment options,” said Ed Bonner, retired Placer County Sheriff. “I’ve worked with Wellpath. I know this company- I know its culture, I know its capacity, and I know its compassion. I could not be happier that they are opening a center in Roseville to provide these services to those who need it, building a safer and healthier city. It’s really going to make a difference in peoples’ lives.”

“I’m very excited to see this day come where we are expanding our access to medication-assisted treatment,” said Amy Ellis, Adult System of Care Division Director, Placer County. “We need as many doors to support and to treatment that Placer can offer. We welcome this Center as an added resource that we’ve been needing for a long time.” Ellis continued, “I believe so much in people’s ability to recover and how much we need places and people like your facility, like Wellpath, coming into our community and offering that door to walk through for individuals seeking recovery.”

Wellpath is a leading healthcare company transforming public health by delivering hope and healing to those who need it most. The Roseville center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and therapy to treat opioid use disorder. As part of the program, medical professionals dispense and monitor FDA-approved medication to eliminate cravings and reduce symptoms of withdrawal while also providing therapeutic services to support the patient’s mental health. This combination is intended to reduce the risk of relapse and support lifelong sobriety.

The outpatient program is tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances. Tele-health services are also available for those who cannot make it to the clinic regularly, which is especially critical to continue servicing patients during COVID-19. Same day admission is currently available, Medi-Cal and certain private insurance are accepted.
