Edwin Montanano, RN // Hudson County, NJ

It is with great sorrow and remorse that we pay tribute to our colleague, friend and mentor, Edwin Montanano, RN, a full-time nurse at the Hudson County Correctional Facility in New Jersey who, like so many in our communities across the country, succumbed to COVID-19 related illness on April 5, 2020.

Edwin’s colleagues, friends and peers share emphatically that he was loved, respected and admired for his kindness and efficiency, and that he displayed his love of family, life and humanity every day.

Edwin was a devoted husband of Annabella for 43 years, loving father of Mathew and Michelle and doting grandfather of Amelia, Madelyn, Thomas and Matthew.

A graduate from Mary Chiles School of Nursing in Manilla, Philippines, we honor Edwin’s incredible career that spanned four decades from Lafayette General Hospital in Louisiana, to Barnet Hospital, St. Michael’s Medical Center, Delaney Hall and Hudson County in New Jersey.

Edwin had an impact on an immeasurable number of peers and patients. He will forever be etched on our hearts and he will be deeply missed.
